Il Thè al Gelsomino è arrivato in Occidente alla fine dell’800 con le grandi navi commerciali e, da allora, è stato sempre molto apprezzato per l’aroma delicato ed il gusto elegante, piacevolmente floreale.
La sua preparazione tradizionale risale alla dinastia Ming: le foglie di Thè verde rapidamente essiccate al vapore venivano lasciate riposare più volte, per diverse ore, in un ambiente chiuso assieme ai fiori di Gelsomino, così da assorbirne il profumo. È un Thè soave e fresco, reso ancora più fragrante dall’aggiunta di un aroma naturale di fiori di Gelsomino.
